Maywood
Reliability Project Overview
PSE&G is currently conducting statewide electric reliability improvements to its utility infrastructure. These enhancements will improve both electric service reliability and system redundancy to ensure safe and reliable service to our customers. Throughout the state of New Jersey, PSE&G infrastructure upgrades will reduce the demand on the existing 26kV network. The projects will install 69kV transmission circuits connecting PSE&G stations around the state.
Activity Overview
Construct 230/69kV Station at Maywood
This project will build a new 230-69kV Station at Maywood Switching Station as part of the 69kV network. The work is essential to provide a back-up electrical supply to the station. This project will provide multiple 69kV sources to enhance system reliability performance, connecting the Maywood station with PSE&G’s Spring Valley Road station Paramus, NJ and Hasbrouck Heights substation.
The completion of this project will provide 69kV supply support to the load currently supplied via Saddle Brook and New Milford 230kV lines. This project will give multiple 69kV sources to the overall network and address the transmission planning reliability system performance.
The completion date for this project is the fall of 2022.
