PSE&G will be upgrading the electric system in your neighborhood to continue to provide safe, reliable service. Please note: PSE&G does not expect this project to cause any service interruptions.
To comply with the Board of Public Utilities’ Vegetation Management Rules, we may also trim and remove trees where necessary.
PSE&G will be upgrading and replacing utility poles along Michigan Avenue between Route 22 and Kenilworth Boulevard; on Kenilworth Boulevard between Michigan Avenue and Market Street; and on Market Street between Kenilworth Boulevard and the Garden State Parkway. We expect construction to begin on or about Monday, July 29, and continue for approximately four months, weather permitting. Work is expected to begin on Kenilworth Boulevard.
In addition, we expect construction of underground manholes and electrical equipment to begin in August and be completed in approximately four months, weather permitting. Upgrades will take place on Market Street from the Garden State Parkway to Colfax Avenue, and on Colfax Avenue between Market Street and Roselle Avenue. Work will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, though some weekend and night work, particularly on Michigan Avenue, may be necessary.
Some aspects of this activity may result in unavoidable noise. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. PSE&G is coordinating with the Kenilworth Police Department to minimize any inconvenience.
